Samsung Will Use Galaxy S20 Name for Successor to Galaxy S10

Samsung is believed to be launching the successor smartphone Galaxy S10 in February 2020, the Galaxy S11.

Although there is still no official confirmation from Samsung, cyberspace has been flooded with leaked Galaxy S11, from rendering to specifications.

The latest, news refers to the change in the name of the flagship smartphone when it was announced next year.

This information was revealed by the famous information leak, Ice Universe. Reported by his Twitter account, Friday (12/27/2019), the Galaxy S11 will be referred to as the Galaxy S20.

"Next year is 2020, and 20 marks a new beginning," tweeted Ice Universe.

Information, the Galaxy S series marked its debut in 2010 and has since become the flagship line of Samsung smartphones.

Based on this, it is unlikely that Samsung will mark the beginning of this new decade with the Galaxy S20 rather than the Galaxy S11.

Galaxy S11 leaked specifications?

After rendering the Galaxy S11 made by OnLeaks and 91mobiles, now it's the turn of the Galaxy S11 leaked specs to appear in cyberspace.

Quoted from Geekbench, Tuesday (11/26/2019), the Galaxy S11 will carry the Snapdragon 865 processor and Exynos 990 - depending on the location of sales.

Specifically, the Galaxy S11 series that appears on the Geekbench page is a 5G variant with the model number SM-G986B.

In addition to the processor, it is also known that the Galaxy S11 5G comes with 12GB of RAM. This means that the 12GB RAM option doesn't only lie on the Galaxy S11 Plus series.

However, it is possible that the standard version of the Galaxy S11 does not come with 12GB of RAM.

Android 10

Galaxy S11 will immediately use the Android operating system 10. Based on these benchmark tests, the Galaxy S11 processor reaches an initial score of 427 and 2326.

A score that is not so satisfying, considering the Galaxy S10 series is able to achieve even higher scores.

Some suspect this result is from a Galaxy S11 device that has not been optimized or prototyped, and the cell phone production will be even better.

Galaxy S11 design

Galaxy S11 will have some design changes compared to previous Galaxy S series.

Information, this is not Samsung's official image. This Galaxy S11 image was made by OnLeaks based on leaked information currently available.

OnLeaks has a pretty good track record in terms of their rendering images, previously they correctly featured the Galaxy Note 10, iPhone 11, OnePlus 7T Pro, and other phones months before it was released.

One of the changes involved a smartphone selfie camera, which this time was moved from the right side of the screen to the center of the Galaxy S11.

Galaxy S11 camera

Another big change is also seen in the smartphone's back camera, which now adopts a box-shaped camera frame. Same as in the Pixel 4 series and the iPhone 11 series.

From the information currently available, the Galaxy S11 will carry four cameras. Unfortunately, it is still not known in detail what the capabilities of each of these cameras.

As the launch date approaches, it is not impossible that there will be more information about the performance and hardware in the Galaxy S11.
